The software will always optimizes the employer contribution while respecting the contractual rules.
Therefore, after having calculated the contribution the employer "wanted" to make, he allocates this contribution in the most economical order from a taxation standpoint. To do this, he checks if contributions can be made for the I.H. and I.P. benefits and acts in consequence.
This check allows the user to perform all types of scenarios without having to worry about contract clauses or tax rules.
For example, in a "Per Benefit", the user could have chosen a contribution corresponding to 100% of the I.H. and I.P. premiums, while the benefits for these benefits are non-taxable. In this case, Group Insurance will calculate the amount that represents 100% of the I.H. and I.P. premiums as the amount of the contribution and will assign it to other benefits according to the most economical method.
Also, in a calculation per status, an employer could choose to contribute according to the individual status concerning an employee who has "refused" the coverages. In this case, the system would simulate the individual premium, apply the percentage allowed and redistribute the result according to the most economical method, while respecting the clauses of the I.H. and I.P. |
